Hi, I’m
Jason, President and CEO of JSMedia.
As a graphic
artist you must train yourself to be creative when you have to.
To date, I have created hundreds of designs used in posters, brochures,
ads, visual aids for presentations and videos.
I consider myself
to be highly organized. I use Excel spreadsheets to document my
jobs. Regularly back-up my work for future reference or modification.
I’ve used a day-timer to manage my time for the past 8 years.
This allows me to see what
I’ve done on a given day for the past 8 years, and work on
as many as 15 projects at once.
I’ve managed
subordinates in the military. As a small business owner I have had
as many as three employees working for me at once, and for 5 years
served as the main point of contact for all Audio/Visual matters
within the largest healthcare system in San Antonio, which covers
3 positions. I served 4 yrs in the Navy. Was owner of Hot Shot Courier
Service for 2 years.
Got my Associates in Graphics from SAC in ‘99. Was with KB
Home for a year and Methodist Healthcare System for 5 years.
While owning
the courier service I consistently found ways to reduce overhead,
added accounts and streamlined operations and services. At KB and
Methodist, I justified adding high-end electronic resources enabling
expansion and expediting of A/V and graphics services.
At KB Home I
worked on ads published in the Express News and several realtor
and home-buying magazines. At the hospital I shot and edited photos
of medical specimens that have been published.
The accomplishment
I am most proud of is the secured AV cart I created at Methodist.
This was an original concept design that I came up with for security
and budgetary reasons. When I couldn’t communicate the idea
verbally, I created this 3D rendering.
After that,
the idea was approved and implemented saving the department hundreds
of man hours. We had the frame already, I just showed them how to
modify it so it could be self-sufficient for under $200.00. Be sure
to check back -- I will post some of the actuals photos of it in
the conference room soon.
